Operation Teddy Bear People
There are so many parts to getting literacy backpacks to 5,600 first-graders in almost 50 schools. And it is the hundreds of volunteers who make Operation Teddy Bear possible. Below you will see behind the scenes and the many people who make it possible.
- Warehousing and setting up materials
- Material assembly and recycling
- Packing backpacks
- Mailing support
- Delivery of bags of backpacks to schools
- Reading to the children (heart-warming…even tear-jerking)
If you have better pictures or I missed you and your group, please send them to the Operation Teddy Bear Coordinator. .
From people’s time to their in kind donations to the hundreds of donors who supply the over $200,000 to make the program run, every person and every corporation is essential. Thank you! If you would like to provide a backpack to a child, too, please help us at http://volcenter.org/donate/. Sign ups to perform all the myriad tasks start in July by contacting the Operation Teddy Bear coordinator at 310-212-5009 or at Operation Teddy Bear Coordinator.
